The Web 2.0 is the upgraded version of the World Wide Web. The old version had some good things like web browsing and email, but also had SPAM, viruses, worms, hackers, and IE upgrades. Now it's all about downloads and social networking for downloads. The appitite for downloads in Web 2.0 is without end. The download maw is bottomless, so better make sure your web hosting bandwith is paid up. With the new rich medial like MP3s, video files, video clips, funny videos, and pocasts, not the mention all the music, games, ringtones, and wallpapers to download. Keep up with all the stuff to download has gotten to be a full time job. Good thing that multi-terabyte exturnal drives have gotten to be so cheap now...!
The new improved form of the World Wide Web includes technologies such as blogs, social bookmarking, wikis, podcasts, domain parking pages, RSS feeds, User-Generated Content (UGC), Content Management Systems (CMS), stupid videos, social software, web application programming interfaces (APIs), and many different forms of advertising infesting everything. Indeed, even what seems like a normal blog post may just be advertising crap.
